When I think of Roy, I think of a wonderful colleague, who was supportive and kind-hearted. I can still picture his smile and hear his voice. As many have shared, Roy made such a positive impact on our professional community and his loss has been felt deeply by many; I know part of the sadness is also because it seemed too soon. He was an incredibly gifted trainer and the niche he held in the field was invaluable. I remember one particular video he posted during the pandemic -- I felt so comforted to get his tips; it was like getting a warm hug from a friend that was also letting us know that things would be okay -- Roy's warmth and generous energy came through in all of his work. I first met Roy in 2012 when he did my 10-month Intercultural Communication Study Group, and in 2016, I was honored to be an early psychology advisor (for the APA process) to Person-Centered Tech (PCT). Throughout the years, we supported each other's work in various ways. I always knew I could email Roy with a question (it meant a lot to me; deep gratitude). His kind words in our last email exchange, less than a month before he passed away, will stay with me forever. Roy made a difference in the world and he will be truly missed. Sending an abundance of care to his loved ones, especially Electra, Liath, and the rest of the PCT team.
