This is the second sudden loss of a luminary in our field this year. I knew Roy through his telehealth training with the Zur Institute and then through PCT. Maya Angelou's saying, "people won't remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel" comes up for me. I hope to remember much of what Roy said! But, I feel nothing but the light and joy and warmth of his spirit coming across to guide us around the scary territory of HIPAA and telemedicine. I can't imagine what his team, friends, and wife are going through right now and my heart goes out to you all. Rest in peace, Roy.

"What a tremendous loss indeed. Roy’s impact on so many of us is undeniable, and his warmth, guidance, and sense of humor will be remembered by all who had the privilege to learn from him. His ability to simplify complex topics like HIPAA and telemedicine made such a difference in building confidence and competence in telehealth. Platforms like Doctiplus continue his legacy by making telemedicine accessible, secure, and easy to navigate for healthcare providers. My heartfelt condolences go out to Roy’s team, family, and friends—he will be deeply missed.
