Roy was a friend, a collaborator, a co-instigator. And I trusted him deeply. We first meet nearly a decade ago when he attended a training I gave in Portland. I didn't even remember he was there until he offered to write a testimonial on my site, years later. We had emailed quite a bit but it was in 2016 that we first met up for "lunch" but wound up spending nearly six hours together walking and talking throughout Portland. After that, I saw him a couple of times in SF and we got together every time I visited. We could easily talk for hours and I would run many ideas past him for input. But I also loved my time with Electra when we all had tons of things to talk about. In 2019, we were hatching a possible plan for me to come and stay and consider moving to Portland. We last collaborated last spring on a presentation, and I always believed there were many more to come. What a smart, funny, kind, industrious, and generous spirit. I am so happy we became friends and am just shocked by hearing of his death. So much love to you Roy and Electra. You will continue to inspire me in my work and I hope I get to see you again soon, Electra to talk about our shared memories of your wonderful partner.
