I was so saddened and shocked to learn of Roy's passing. I met Roy, Liath and the PCT team in Chicago during the first group practice exchange conference. I attended his seminar on the importance of HIPPA compliance for group practice owners . Despite my reluctance to learn about this dreaded and fear based topic, Roy's engaging, authentic teaching style helped shift my perspective about the importance of protecting our clients and businesses with real HIPPA policies. We signed up for the full compliance training and worked with Roy and his team for months. Roy possessed a natural gift of teaching and connecting with his colleagues and audience. His energy was grounded, authentic, and rooted in integrity while his healthy dose of cynicism, humor and wit helped make even the most apprehensive person breathe and exhale. ( I still chuckle when he officially crowned and declared my business partner as the HIPPA Compliance Office of the practice). My deepest sympathy to his beloved wife, team and framily (friends that are family). May his memory always be a blessing and source of comfort. His essence and legacy will live on in our work and our hearts.😪
